OMBA NYE (PILGRIMAGE) IN TRASHI YANGTSI EAST BHUTAN
Omba Ngye is a pilgrimage site in eastern Bhutan under Trashi Yangtsi District. It is also known as the Taktsang of the east.
Most of the people have no knowledge about this pristine place. Omba is the one among three wonders, where Guru Rimpoche in 8th century blessed with his power of mantras - OM AA HUNG (meaning: wisdoms body, mind and speech) Omba ngye depicting OM, Aaja ngye in Mongar for AA and Muhung at Mongar Sheeri for HUNG.
The amazing thing is, these three sites have their respective letters imprinted on the wall of rock. Omba ngye has a sacred letter 'OM' (Tibetan letter), printed vividly and very natural on a rock. It was indeed a huge pack of wonders that the letter was emerged naturally and flawlessly from the patterns on the rock. And so with the other two sites, Aaja and Muhung. Moreover there are lot many wonder places to explore within, it is obviously a place for pilgrims.
Just recently Tourism Council of Bhutan introduced this place for tourist trekking routes. It is flexibly three nights and four days trek. The journey routes through varieties of unique surroundings. The vegetations are gifted with the best it can have, the people and their cultures are very welcoming.
